Kaka Balon d'Or, also known as Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, is a former Brazilian professional footballer born on April 22, 1982. He won the Ballon d'Or, which is one of the most prestigious individual awards in football, in 2007, becoming the last player other than Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to win the award before their ten-year dominance began.
Kaka began his professional career in Brazil with Sao Paulo before moving to AC Milan in 2003. He had a successful spell with Milan where he won the Serie A title, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. Later, he had spells with Real Madrid and Orlando City before retiring in 2017. Kaka scored 92 goals in 511 professional games and also earned 92 caps for the Brazilian national team, scoring 29 goals in the process.
Kaka was known for his technical skills, vision, creativity, and attacking prowess, particularly his ability to score and set up goals. He was also a humble and respected player on and off the field and was very passionate about his Christian faith. Today, Kaka remains active in football as a commentator and ambassador for various organizations, and he is regarded as one of the best Brazilian footballers of his generation.
